Make a Scalloped Party Bunting | 28/05/2011
Project time: approx 60 mins | Cost~ £2.80 per m of bunting
We have just made some really sweet scalloped bunting with dainty rose quilt binding and 4 different fat quarters fabrics in matching girly colours. It doesn't cost much to make at all! One fat quarter can be made into 16 scallops! Every meter of the bunting, it consists of approximately 10 scallops. Taking into account of the quilt binding, it costs around £2.80 to make a whole meter of scalloped bunting!! How Lovely!

Make your own Treasure Box | 19/03/2011
Project time: approx 90 mins | Cost~ £4.00 for each box
Just got a new tutorial for you girls. Do you have some ugly useless box hanging around your house? You can revitalise them and turn them into a treasure box! Here is how you can do it.

Simple tutorial
You need: A box, beautiful fabrics & cards, PVA glue, a brush, scissors, a (fabric) marker, a ruler

1. Cut a strip of fabrics to warp around the box, leaving 1cm on each side and 2cm at both ends
2. Wrap & glue around the edge of the box, glue only 3 sides and stop there, mark the end

3. Leave 1cm extra and cut the excess fabric
4. Fold back and glue the 1cm fabric back

5. Finishing off the 4th side

6. Cut the corners at a 45 degree angle (approx)
7. Glue & press in place, allow to dry

8. Cut a piece of card (tips: thinner cards are better if it's a lidded box) to fit each side of interior of the box; Cut fabrics to fit, leaving 1cm away from the edges of the cards
9. Glue the fabrics on the cards to get all the interior surfaces ready

10. Glue 4 sides of the interior & hold firmly

11. Glue the base

The exterior

12. Prepare the card the same way as before
13. Glue to the top of the box

Do the same for the other half, done!
